Xpeng Introduces Advanced Driver-Assist System Targeting European Market

Guangzhou, CHINA โ€” On November 5, 2025, Chinese electric car company Xpeng unveiled its plans to release an advanced driver-assist system by the first quarter of 2026. This new system is specifically developed to navigate narrow roads more efficiently, a feature that the company believes will be highly beneficial for the European market.

Xpeng emphasized that their system allows vehicles to traverse tight streets with ease, significantly minimizing the need for human intervention. The company has also revealed that German automaker Volkswagen will be the first client to implement this technology as Xpeng makes it available to other car manufacturers.

During the event titled "AI Day," Xpeng CEO Xiaopeng He highlighted the superior efficiency of their system compared to Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD). According to He, the new system requires less interaction by human drivers and completed a test route in much less time than Teslaโ€™s FSD.

He also announced his plans to visit the United States next month for further comparisons between Xpeng's system and Tesla's FSD, conveying his remarks in Mandarin, which were translated by CNBC.
