DoorDash Driver Raises Concerns After Encounter with Unconscious Man in Oswego

Last month, Olivia Henderson, a 23-year-old DoorDash driver, experienced a disturbing incident during a delivery in Oswego, New York. Upon arriving at a local house, she discovered the front door open and a man apparently either asleep or unconscious on a couch in the front room. The man, unclothed with his pants and underwear at his ankles, was fully visible from the porch.

Feeling that the situation might have been a deliberate act of exposure, Henderson questioned whether she should have to be exposed to this during her job. She filmed the scene from outside and later shared the video on TikTok, aiming to publicly shame the individual. Her post quickly gained traction online.

Henderson termed her ordeal a 'sexual assault,' claiming the visible nudity as the offense, which led to police involvement on October 13. However, she expressed dissatisfaction with their actions, later stating in a video on October 14, 'the police are doing nothing.' She added that DoorDash had deactivated her account, explaining, 'two days after I reported my sexual assault. Hey guys, I just lost my job, and they won’t tell me why!'

Amid frustration, Henderson posted several emotional videos, repeating her grievances. On October 15, she released three additional videos, maintaining her claims of being a victim and criticising DoorDash for their response. 'I was a victim of SA [sexual assault],' she stated, and asserted that DoorDash had 'punished me for exposing my assaulter.'
