Marvel Studios Unveils New Trailer for 'Wonder Man' Miniseries on Disney+

Marvel Studios is ringing in the new year with a brand-new trailer for Wonder Man, an eight-episode miniseries debuting later this month on Disney+. Part of the MCU's Phase Six, the series was crafted by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Five Rings, and Andrew Guest, recognized for his work on Hawkeye, with Guest taking on the role of showrunner.

The miniseries stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man, a stunt performer and actor with real superpowers. Simon auditions for the lead in a superhero TV series, which is a reboot of a previous Wonder Man production. Supporting him is Demetrius Grosse as his brother, Eric (Grim Reaper), Ed Harris as Simon's agent, Neal Saroyan, and Arian Moayed portraying P. Clearly, an operative from the Department of Damage Control. Additional cast members include Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, Byron Bowers, Bechir Sylvain, and Manny McCord in still-undisclosed roles.

Ben Kingsley also returns to the MCU as Trevor Slattery, the washed-up actor from 2013's Iron Man 3, who was hired to impersonate a leader of an international terrorist organization called the Ten Rings. Slattery reappeared in 2021's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings after a stint in prison, aiding the protagonist, Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), in his quest to reach the mythical village of Ta Lo.

The series' initial one-minute teaser, which played up the meta-comedic elements, was released just before New York Comic Con last year. A full trailer showcased the basic storyline at the event, focusing on Simon's journey towards auditioning for his ideal role. The new trailer presents some of this footage again, adding a twist where Simon is required to sign a document declaring he lacks superpowers—a claim that's far from true. The intense pressure of the audition and acting process triggers an explosive manifestation of his abilities, leading the 'Department of Damage Control' to label Simon an 'extraordinary threat.'

Wonder Man premieres on Disney+ on January 27, 2026.
