Motorola Unveils Upcoming Razr Fold at CES: A New Chapter in Foldable Technology

Motorola, known for its innovation in foldables with the revival of the Razr flip-style phone in 2020, is taking on a new venture with the introduction of the Razr Fold. Revealed at CES, this ambitious new addition aligns with other book-style foldables like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold and Google’s Pixel Fold, boasting a smartphone-sized external display paired with a large foldable panel inside.

Although unveiled at CES, the Razr Fold is still in development, with a target release set for the coming summer. Pricing remains a mystery as Motorola is hesitant to divulge details just yet.

The device promises to match the size of existing large foldables, featuring a 6.6-inch external display and 8.1-inch internal display. The main foldable OLED screen will offer 2K resolution, on par with current industry standards.

A unique feature is its compatibility with the Moto Pen Ultra, an active stylus created specifically for the Razr Fold. This distinguishes it from competitors like Samsung, which discontinued stylus support with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in 2025. While stylus integration is confirmed for stock apps, third-party support remains uncertain.

As Motorola maintains secrecy around the Razr Fold, particularly in regards to pricing and additional features, one area they are eager to highlight is the camera setup, which is expected to stand up well in comparisons with similar products.
