US President Donald Trump has warned that there could be additional American casualties during ongoing operations in Iran. The cautionary statement was shared on Truth Social, following an update from US Central Command (Centcom) which reported the deaths of three US service members and serious injuries to five others.
In Israel, medical services have confirmed that nine individuals were killed after a missile strike on the city of Beit Shemesh.
In a parallel development, Iranian officials claim that at least 153 people, including children, have died as a result of an attack on a school on Saturday. Iranian authorities have pointed fingers at the US and Israel for the incident. While Centcom is investigating these reports, Israel's military has stated it is 'not aware' of any IDF operations in the affected area.
Elsewhere in the region, the UAE has reported the deaths of three individuals due to Iranian attacks over the weekend. In Kuwait, reports indicate that one person has been killed.
More developments on this story are forthcoming.
